Reid and Elias designed, built, tested and improved upon a model doghouse. Thinking carefully about dogs in the community, and what they need to stay safe and healthy, the boys designed it with insulated walls, a raised floor, and a porch for the dog to rest on. During a Zoom call with Dr. Heather Fretz - a veterinarian and president of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association - she complimented them on their excellent design and asked to see photos of the finished product! Yes - we will make a REAL ONE! Mr. Gilberto Mourao - secondary tech teacher - will guide grade 8 students as they bring Reid and Elias's model to life. Keep an eye out - you may see their doghouse in the community soon!
